Road racers appreciate our 14 brand-new courses covering all difficulty levels and a total of 1,000 kilometres. If you like mountain biking or cycling tours, you will be delighted with our 800 kilometres of cycling tours and mountain biking paths, located alongside romantic rivers, on Alpine service roads or on challenging trails. The scenic street leading up to Kitzbüheler Horn is Austria's steepest cycling road and has become a classic road cycling street for cyclists around the world.

Road bicycle Racing

In the past few years, there has been a significant increase in tourists and locals embracing the sport of road bicycle racing. A major boost to this local development has been the huge popularity of triathlon events (Triathlon World Championship Series) as well as the mountain stages of the Austria Cycling Tour at Kitzbüheler Horn. An increasing number of recreational cyclists are following the call of mythical Kitzbüheler Horn mountain, home to Austria's steepest cycling paths. Kitzbühel is starting into the 2010 season with newly chosen road racing courses covering 1,000 kilometres. 

Mountain Biking

Mountain biking has always been the summer sport of choice in Kitzbühel. The gently sloping hills of the Kitzbühel Alps and their numerous Alpine service roads are ideal for practising this sport. Overall, 800 kilometres of mountain biking and cycling paths as well as challenging trails are available. Cycling Tours

Cycling tour enthusiasts will be delighted to practise their sport in the extensive valleys of the Kitzbühel Alps, where fantastic cycling trails have been developed. Undisturbed by traffic and located on a variety of side streets, these trails are perfect for the entire family, allowing cyclists of all ages to enjoy the beauty of nature while exercising. Cycling races

Kitzbühel has been host to major international cycling races for decades. Among other major international cycling events, Kitzbühel hosted the start of the Germany Tour 2008 as well as the mountain stage of the Austria Cycling Tour. Recreational athletes will be happy to learn about our large selection of mountain biking and road racing competitions. 

Electric Cycling

Electric cycling is the next big thing in cycling tourism. Kitzbühel has been on the forefront of this new development towards electric mobility. Among other activities, Kitzbühel is organizing the 2010 Electric Cycling Summer in cooperation with "movelo."
