Beyond the ski slopes you will have the opportunity to experience the quiet, authentic Tyrolean nature. Hiking across the white winter wonderland of picturesque Kitzbühel, Reith, Aurach and Jochberg makes for a truly unique experience. Experience winter at its best as you slow down enough to walk or stroll on a wide variety of cleared walking paths and hiking routes.
Kitzbühel Tourismus offers guided winter walks and snowshoe hikes free of charge. A certified and experienced mountain guide takes our guests to the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps and shares insight about our country and its people. Write down your impressions in your personal tour book. After only three tours, you will have earned a hiking badge!

Snowshoe walking
Those seeking the pure experience of the great outdoors will prefer to don their snowshoes and set off across the fields into the heart of the winter landscape. Join in and find both peace and challenge!When: Wednesday and Friday

Sunset walk (from 10th January)
Let the sunset over Kitzbühel’s mountains get to a perfect ending of a wonderful holiday. We walk with snowshoes in the Kitzbühel area.When: every Tuesday
Meeting point: 3.45 p.m. Kitzbühel Tourismus (until 8.00 p.m.)
Costs: EUR 25,00 per adult, EUR 12,00 per child (min. 8 persons)
incl. transfer, cablecar, hot drink, snowshoes, (specialprice for skipass or seasonpass owners)

High Altitude Trail to Austria's Biggest Water Reservoir
One of the most scenic guided snowshoe tours takes you to Austria's biggest water reservoir. Don’t miss it! Ride the new Panoramabahn Kitzbüheler Alpen gondola to Resterhöhe. From there, you’ll walk to the water reservoir and continue on to the Panoramaalm mountain hut. After a brief stop and a well-deserved snack or meal, we will head back to the starting point.
