Every Sunday at 17.00 hours, we have the torchlight hike with storyteller Reinhard Juen

Local carol singers, dressed as Shepherds, play a magnificent role for the traditional Advent atmosphere and you can listen to their wonderful voices on Thursdays, at 18.00 hours. One hour earlier, at 17.00 hours, the passionate storyteller, Reinhard Juen, sets off for a torchlight hike through Kitzbuehel at dusk. If Reinhard makes the characters in his stories and legends come alive in this mystical atmosphere you too, will be on fire.

On December 5th, beginning at 17:30 o'Clock, Kitzbühel is officially in the hands of St. Nicholas and his counterparts, the Krampus. But not only just one or two Krampus but more than 100 Krampus running around at large with the crowds. Get excited for a ghastly night out.

Without taking a breather, we continue on with golden voices for you on the 6th of December! Starting at 18:00 o'Clock in the Kitzbühel 'Vorderstadt' you can attend a concert fit for a King,  from one of the oldest and most prestigious boys' choirs in Europe, die Wilten Boys` Choir.

Special eye-catchers are also hidden everywhere at the market to keep children entertained and capture their imagination.

You can also look forward to all imaginable delicacies from traditional Tyrolean cuisine, of which Kitzbühel is particularly proud of. The enjoyment of warm culinary delights, from the brightly lit stalls with their numerous treasures and Christmas gifts, is always a special moment in the build up to Christmas and it warms the body as well as the mind in the crisp cold weather.

Many local musicians and choirs bring the sound of music to the market between 18.00-19.00 hours, providing a real treat for the ears, with St. Catherine’s Church offering a delightful contrast to the daily hustle and bustle on the streets with its, "silent hours". You can let this hour of worship work on you each day from 19.00 to 20.00 hours, followed by the historic carillon in the church tower.

A Christmas market would be strange without the traditional Advent wreath candles and at 16.00 hours each day there is the ceremony for the lighting of the Advent wreath candles, that are lovingly crafted by hand over many hours.

On Christmas Eve at 15.00 hours, a Christmas reading will take place providing a special unique moment for all ages both young and old.
