The Kitzbuehel  legend of folk music was also the youngest racer of all time in the Austrian Ski Federation. Born in Kitzbuehel, he grew up at the Seidlalm with his grandparents. Hansi Hinterseer was familiar, even as a young boy, with both the skiing and the traditional Tyrolean folk songs and customs.

When he was 22 years old Hansi Hinterseer left the Austrians Ski Federation and joined the professional camp in the United States. His success continued overseas: 1981 and 1982 he was the professional world champion.

Since 1994 Hansi Hinterseer has made his mark in the music business. Hansi can look back on 15 years of success as a singer, presenter and actor with sold-out concerts and dream quotas on his TV shows.

Hansi Hinterseer once said "The mountains, nature, family, health – that’s what counts. Life on the farm has made me who I am and it has given me strength to face the world wholeheartedly.
