From 30^th November the Kitzbueheler Hinterstadt returns again to its wonderful display of 26 kiosks and stands displaying a wonderful Christmas atmosphere, with so many delightful items for every gift imaginable, from culinary delicacies to traditional handicrafts and more precious presents than you can imagine! Not to forget the lovely “hot drinks”.

The Glockenstube (Belfry) is the bell tower in town. This year, there has been such a demand for the little trading kiosks and booths, the market has been extended to include also the Glockenstube. It now begins at the BH Hof (Laternenhof), through the Hinterstadt down to the Town Hall Square (Belfry).

The market organizer has beeen complimented for his achievement in the success in the past for the quality of the kiosks and stalls with super items and products which will be on offer and display.

Alexandria Gieringer-Fabi, from the event agency Murdock, who are responsible for the overall organization and implementation, welcomed the increased participation of the Kitzbuehler clubs, companies and craftsman,

The most popular classic attractions from the last year will be available together with some new interests.

Some of this year’s attractions will include:

A visit to the ‘Stroking zoo’, to go pony riding and to listen to traditional children Christmas stories. These are read out every day the market is open:

On Saturdays, A Children’s Day

The children can draw angels or bake scones with Michaela. An opportunity to write a letter to the Father Christmas shouldn’t be missed. They can write down or draw their own special Christmas wishes, then afterwards post them directly from the Christmas Market Post. Who knows maybe one or two wishes may come true.

Music

This year there is a variety of musical performances which will include choral singers and groups from all the region. A new offer this year, is the Christmas CD, compiled by various local groups, which has been produced and on sale at the market. The proceeds go towards helping needy families have a better Christmas

Living Advent calendar in Reith by Kitzbuehel

From 1^st of december 2012 until 6^th of jannuary 2013, 5pm-8pm
Every day, until Christmas Eve, a new window of the advent calendar is opened and you and your family, friends and guests are invited to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere, have a chat and look together forward to Christmas. All of the opened Advent windows are on show until the 6^thof January 2013.
