Mittersill Castle

Mittersill, perched directly above the eponymous castle , looking over Mittersill– where many celebrities used later as vacation home – was once the scene of witch hunts and the farming war, as explained by the tour guide, of the turbulent history of the castle.

Guided tours and Viewing.

Besides the festive halls and ornate chambers, where kings, princes and celebrities lingered, the witches' tower, the “Keuchen” and the “Hungerturm” can be visited in guided tours.

Available for special occasions, from weddings to individual candlelight dinners.

We have also meetings rooms available.

Spend nights in the historic rooms where VIPs such as Queen Juliana of the Netherlands, spent her honeymoon. The historic rooms of the hotel are currently carefully modernized in stages, especially the bathrooms. Ms. Wurnitsch, who has had experience in the hotel management in Tophotels in Salzburg and New York, is happy to supply any information you may require.
