Alpine Curling

Alpine Curling originally was on an strip ice and can still be played in its original form on an outside frozen area. It requires a bit of movement to swing a heavy (8 kg) block with a handle. It is normally a team sport where people can also meet for a chat and a drink. In winter there is an outside alley in use

The indoor Ice Rink in Mercedes-Benz Sportpark is constructed with the possibility of 14 alleys can be played at one time. This can be used for international competitions. In Summer,outdoor ‘shooting’ switches to an Tarmac alley, which has the same features as the ice hall but easier to stand up and is fun for any age. It is a great game for team building as one player can always help the others out with one good shot.

For World Championships, Europe Championships, Austrian tournaments or local leagues, the Mercedes-Benz Sportpark is ideal. Beginners can also give it a try and a few free tips are always available.
