There are countless opportunities in the Kitzbuehel Alps for cycling enthusiasts and you can also discover some well kept and little known secrets. For example, there is the route of the old Roman road through Kitzbuehel and St. Johann that continues to follow the Grossachental to Erpfendorf. The Pillersee is another place well worth a visit where you can take a beautiful walk around the Pillersee lake itself. Back in Kitzbuehel, on and around the hills of the Bichlach area, there are an extensive network of trails and a magnificent landscape where many traditional Tyrolean Farms can be seen and admired. Moving on to Brixental you can take a romantic journey through Windautal to Westendorf. Finally, you can discover the, "World Cup Bike race circuit", or, "Rad-Weltcuprunde", from St. Johann into Schwendt and through Koessen where riders require a good physical condition.
