Guided Electric Bike tours
Electric mobility is THE mega- trend for the coming decades and Kitzbuehel has been at the forefront of this development since 2009. New for summer 2014, is the e-mountain bike offensive, where amongst other offers, is the possibility to make two guided mountain bike tours a week to the most beautiful and peaceful areas of Kitzbuehel.
You can experience (almost) effortless mountain biking, with the support of a small and silent electric motor. This is a revolution in the sport of mountain biking which will bring a smile to your face!
Mountain bike and e-mountain bike tours are being offered twice weekly by the Kitzbuehel cyclists Beppo Hechenberger and Rob Pearce (Mountain Edge). The meeting point on Mondays and Wednesdays is at the sports shop, Etz Sport 2000, Bichlstrasse 7, Kitzbuehel.

Kitzbuehel is one of the largest e-bike regions in the world with 275 electric bikes and 75 rental and battery exchange stations available to guests. There are also nine well-known tourist areas nearby that are within the Tyrol E-Bike-distance networks.
In Kitzbuehel, 15 of our partners offer e-bike Services and 7 hotels lend e-bikes to their guests. There are 3 sport shops in Kitzbuehel that offer not only rental services for locals and for visitors, but also services such as the sale, maintenance and repair of e-bikes. There are also 5 main attractions that serve as battery replacement stations and cyclists can approach more than 80 destinations in the metropolitan area of the Kitzbuehel Alps. If necessary, an empty battery may be exchanged free of charge for a charged battery.
The Kitzbuehel Alps area forms the largest contiguous region in the world for e-bikes with 9 tourist regions and a total of 45 places in Tirol. This is based upon the number of rental locations and the 275 electric bikes and 75 rental and battery exchange stations available to guests in Kitzbuehel, Brixen-Kirchberg-Westendorf, Hohe Salve, St. Johann in Tyrol, Kufstein, Wilder Kaiser, Wildschoenau Pillerseetal and the Kaiserwinkel. With a large network of battery exchange stations being available, long trips and multi-day trips are possible within an area of 1,800 square kilometres.
The e-bike is the next major trend in cycling and our partner, "MOVELO", is the world's largest provider of electromobility. For 2013, MOVELO have more than 2,500 e-bikes in use and cover more than 30 regions in Austria, Germany and South Tyrol.
