The mountain bike has established itself as a traditional part of Kitzbuehel’s sports equipment. This sport not only enjoyed by guests, but the locals as well. There are routes available for all levels. Numerous huts invite you to a take a break. Overall, in the area, there is over 800 km of cycling and mountain biking trails available.

The mountain bike festival "KitzAlpBike" 2013 is for the 18 time being held this year. The mountains around Kitzbuehel is the backdrop of a variety of competitions. Highlight, as always, the KitzAlpBike Marathon on Sunday. More than 1,000 mountain bikers are expected for this weekend in the Kitzbuehel Alps.

Naturally Kitzbuehel is also the starting point for the Bike Trail Tirol. With almost 1000 km of trails the Bike Trail Tirol is regarded as the longest contiguous mountain bike course in the Alps. There are 32 different stages where you can discover the Tyrol mountain bike and the country at its best.
