Kitz Running Jochberg

Life in motion. With this motto, in 2008, together with the Innsbruck agency "max2", a route plan for running and Nordic Walking routes were developed in the sports city of Kitzbuehel and brought to fruition. After the successful implementation of the system in Kitzbuehel (opening in 2009) it was taken on by Jochberg in the Spring to the next step to improve our running and walking infrastructure.

In Jochberg alone there are 8 courses with 3 starting points and a total length of 65 km are available. The trails were opened on the 04 June 2010 with an opening ceremony. 23 routes, 170 kilometers, 11 starting points. These are the key figures since June 2010, a running and Nordic walking paradise that has no equal. Balanced circuit racing in Kitzbuehel, Jochberg, Aurach and Reith with different lengths and degrees of difficulty invite our guests and locals to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside. It covers all possible terrains: asphalt, gravel, trails running through mountains and valleys.

The community and Jochberg Kitzbuehel Tourism put the project together. The province of Tyrol promoted under the working title "Running Tyrol" and the "Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol" was recruited as partners. The Innsbruck agency "max2"carried out the plan with imput from the running legend Andreas Tomaselli who is a specialist in running such projects.
