Pletzer received his first musical training from Pastor J. Reitsamer in Aurach. In 1962 he played the organ for the first time at Christmas mass in Aurach. Since 1973 he has been the organist of the parish of Kitzubühel. Participants in the concert are Katharina Königsfeld (organ) and Herber Zimmermann (trumpet).
