Special exhibition "Citizen Farmer Edelmann"

‘Old Kitzbühel and its transformation in the 19th century’ invites visitors to discover the history of the town from the perspective of those who shaped life in Kitzbühel – farmers, noblemen and women, miners, craftsmen, citizens and civil servants. Three chapters shed light on the different worlds in which people lived – aristocratic rule and hard field work, mining and craftsmanship. Another chapter deals with Bavarian rule over Tyrol from 1806 to 1814. This can be seen as a harbinger of change in ‘old Kitzbühel’ and leads to the final chapter, the transition to a (tourism) service society, symbolised by, among other things, the faithfully reconstructed ‘Ladei’ from Wegscheidgasse. On Thursday between 27th Nov. and 11th Dec. and 5th Feb to 5th March guided tour at 6 pm.
