Marie-Sophie Janke is this year's winner of the "ZukunftsStimmen" initiative, which Elīna Garanča founded in 2019 and which selects a special singing talent once a year who receives joint performances with the mezzo-star as well as prize money and sponsorship from Garanča herself. The prize includes a performance in Kitzbühel. The 24-year-old mezzo-soprano will therefore perform the aria "Una voce poco fa" from "Il Barbiere di Siviglia" at Classic in the Alps. In this way, the Tyrolean audience can also get an idea of what inspired the jury around Elīna Garanča about the young singer.
While the first-place winner of this initiative for vocal talent, Marie-Sophie Janke, will sing at the main concert, the second-, third-, fourth- and fifth-place winners will perform programs in advance: sopranos Corina Kollerand Nicole Lubinger, mezzo-soprano Tanja Glinsner and tenor David Kerber. The young artists will be accompanied by the exceptional pianist Katharina Königsfeld. On Thursday and Friday, the artistic director, Clemens Anton Klug, will lead through the program.
