The legendary sports town of Kitzbühel is home / competition venue / training center and recreation spot for many athletes: skiers, cross-country skiers, triathletes, runners, mountain bikers, road cyclists, ski tourers, mountaineers, and many more. But which athletes are the most legendary and fastest at VERTICAL UP?
The goal of VERTICAL UP is to conquer the original Streif course, which is 3.312 km long and has an elevation gain of 860 meters, as quickly as possible.
The "twist" in the whole story is the rules - there are none!
Free choice of equipment as long as everything is powered by one's own strength (no motors) and free choice of route on the Streif (speed class) or also on the Family Streif (backpack class).

This competition is the supreme discipline of VERTICAL UP! Each athlete will master the legendary Original Streif downhill run vertically as fast as possible according to free choice of material. Everything is allowed as long as everything in the race is done under your own power. The 6 fastest Women and men win prize money.
Backpack class - Powered by Suunto
This competition is the absolute fun competition within the framework of VERTICAL UP! Every athlete masters the family Streif at any speed according to free choice of material. If someone wants to, they can switch to the racetrack. The only condition: A backpack incl. filling must be taken to the finish. The backpack filling is the starter package.The winner is the participant who comes closest to the average time of all starters!

Who is the fastest in the speed class from the district of Kitzbühel? - Who will be Vertical Up Hogmoar? Win Niederkofler vouchers (1-2-3 M/W) and have the honor of being the wearer of the unique Vertical- Up- Hogmoar- satchel (1st M/W) for one year. Requirement: Main residence district Kitzbühel
Team ranking
Team/club with the most starters in the whole field of participants wins 500 EUR.
Best-Dressed-Classification
The participants with the most original costumes will receive great prizes.

At Christian Maurer's exciting multimediashow, you will learn more about his breathtaking journey, how he covered a whole 1223 kilometres and 15 checkpoints across the Alps in 6 days and 6 hours, only by paraglider or on foot from Kitzbühel to around Mont Blanc, finishing in Zell am See.
Tickets can be purchased online (EUR 24.00) or at the box office before the event starts (EUR 26.00).
