The legendary sports town of Kitzbühel is home / adopted home / training center and resort for many athletes: skiers, cross-country skiers, triathletes, runners, mountain bikers, road cyclists, tourers, mountaineers and many more. - but which athletes are the most legendary and the fastest at STREIF VERTICAL UP? Kitzbühel also captivates with its breathtaking mountains and fantastic nature. The volunteer organizing team of the Vertical Up has set itself the goal to work for the environment and sustainability of the event.
The goal of STREIF VERTICAL UP is to conquer the original Streif course with 3.312 km and 860 vertical meters vertically as fast as possible.
The highlight of the whole story are the rules - there are none!
Free choice of material as long as everything is driven by own power (no engine) and free choice of route on the Streif (speed class) or also on the Family Streif (backpack class).

This competition is the supreme discipline of STREIF VERTICAL UP! Each athlete will master the legendary original Streif downhill run vertically as fast as possible according to free choice of material. Everything is allowed as long as everything in the race is done under your own power.
Backpack class - Powered by Suunto
This competition is the absolute fun competition within the framework of STREIF VERTICAL UP! Every athlete masters the family Streif Vertical up at any speed according to free choice of material. The only condition: A backpack incl. filling (or what is left of it) must be taken to the finish. The backpack filling is the starter package.

Who is the fastest in the speed class from the district of Kitzbühel? - Who will be Vertical Up Hogmoar? Win Niederkofler vouchers (1-2-3 M/W) and have the honor of being the wearer of the unique VerticalUp Hogmoar satchel (1st M/W) for one year. Requirement: Main residence district Kitzbühel
Team ranking
Team/club with the most starters in the whole field of participants wins EUR 500,- in cash.
Best-Dressed-Classification
The participants with the most original costumes will receive great prizes. Important: all participants who want to be included in the ranking have to report to the race office before the start at the latest by 5 p.m. on Saturday!
Vertical Up Tour classification
The best three male/female participants from both tour stops will receive prizes.

Mandatory equipment:
Headlamp (most important points are illuminated)
Backpack (for backpack class)
helmet (rental helmets available at the race office)
optional: Snowline spikes can be purchased at a preferential price directly in the expo area.
Starter package: A comprehensive starter package will again be provided for all participants.
Race briefing: 6.15 p.m. in the start area, compulsory attendance
Luggage transport to the finish:
Drop-off from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the latest at the Hahnenkamm valley station.
Issue directly at the top station Hahnenkamm (at the entrance to the valley run)
Material must be marked with the luggage tear-off from the start number (we are not liable for damage/loss)
Please do not hang anything on the outside of your backpack
Start: 6.30 p.m. directly at the Hahnenkamm finish house
Finish: Streif start house
