holiday fun for the whole family

Family fun in summer

Big adventures for little visitors

Kitzbühel has already made an impressive name for itself among adults as the most legendary sports town in the Alps. A somewhat lesser known fact, however, is that the Kitzbühel region is also a real paradise for children. The wonderful natural surroundings and gorgeous mountains offer plenty of fun and adventures for children of all ages. Be it climbing, playing with water or watching plants and animals – the town offers a wide variety of different attractions and activities that are sure to impress the entire family.

Kitz Geocaching is a fresh and exciting new hiking experience. Set out on a treasure hunt on the Hahnenkamm and discover an explorers’ paradise for adventurers of all ages.

With more than 300 different plant species from all over the world, the Alpine Flower Garden is a truly unique botanical feast for the eyes. Located directly below the summit of the Kitzbüheler Horn, the garden is full of impressive bursts of colour spread out over an area of around 20,000 square metres. Children’s tours are available in July and August and are held from Sunday to Friday at 1pm. In June, tours are only available when booked in advance. For enquiries, please call +43 5356 69511411.

The Kids‘ Climbing Path on the Kitzbüheler Horn offers climbing fun for the entire family. The path is secured with steel cables and steps, and younger visitors may even spot the odd animal or two peeking out from among the rocks along the way. The path offers young climbers the perfect conditions for taking their first steps on rough terrain.

The Kids’ Climbing Park at the summit of the Kitzbüheler Horn is far more than just a playground. It’s home to a multitude of ropes, trampolines, slides and swings where children can improve their balance and let off steam against a stunning panoramic mountain backdrop.

The Karstweg is not only a unique hiking route full of impressive viewpoints but also a geological journey back through the history of the Earth. The trail transforms hiking into a huge adventure for young and old alike.

The gondolas and chairlifts operated by the company Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel make hiking fun even more accessible for the whole family. Children born in or after 2014 ride for free and child fares are available for those born between 2004 and 2013.
