As a year-round destination, the holiday region presents itself as a true hiking paradise 365 days a year and makes hiking in Tirol possible at any time of the year.

In summer, more than 1,000 kilometres of well-maintained hiking trails, marked mountain routes and well-signposted footpaths inspire enthusiasm and invite you to take a voyage of discovery through the breathtaking natural landscape of the Kitzbühel Grasberge mountains. The routes are divided into different levels of difficulty and are signposted accordingly. There are also barrier-free paths for people with limited mobility and small children. Along the network of hiking trails there are over 60 managed alpine pastures and huts and invite you to enjoy traditional delicacies.

A special hiking experience in Tyrol is the exploration of the typical Kitzbühel Grasberge mountains, which are also covered with colourful meadows and alpine pastures at over 2,000 metres, creating a unique mountain landscape against the imposing backdrop of the rugged peaks of the Wilder Kaiser.

Whether in summer or winter, the region with its holiday villages offers hiking routes or walking paths along the Ache for all levels of difficulty.

With its theme hiking trails, the sports town offers a wide range of activities for numerous hiking enthusiasts and families. Starting points for the varied hikes are the hiking information points in Kitzbühel, Reith, Aurach and Jochberg. In addition to challenging tours in the Kitzbühel Südberge Mountains, idyllic paths lead along natural lakes and ponds. The Schwarzsee, one of the warmest lakes in Tyrol, also invites you to in the pools and lakes.

A unique highlight of the sports city is the legendary Streif in summer and winter. In summer, hiking enthusiasts experience the race track at the Streif-Viewing and the Kitz Trail STREIF-live. For families, the Streif summer experience offers fun for young and old with the varied adventure trail.
