Steuerberg Nr. 3

The route initially runs parallel to the Schwarzsee- Runde, alongside the north bank of Lake Schwarzsee, before heading east towards Steuerberg via a steep forest track that has a few switchbacks. Following the flat ridges of the Steuerberg the path then descends to run alongside two lakes, the Vogelsberg Weiher and the Gieringer Weiher. In the summer you can bathe at ‘Waldbad Gieringer Weiher’, where dogs are also allowed! A brief climb takes you up into the hamlet of Giering before descending to Muenichau and heading back towards the familiar starting point at Lake Schwarzsee.
