Streif Vertical

Without having run the Streif, one must not leave Kitzbühel. The Streif Vertical is simply a must. And is both demanding and beautiful. But you have to bring a good deal of fitness. Let's go to the valley station of the Hahnenkammbahn where it's just over asphalt into the Hausbergtal. We are always right to the turnoff in the direction of Streif and then follow the streak of partly steep trails. At the Seidlalm it is worthwhile to stop, but you can do that only at the downhill. Continue on Seidlalmsprung, bridge shot, steep slope to below the mousetrap. It will revolve, with a short loop to the right and then back to the start slope. From here the trail continues to the start house of the Streif. Here you have the choice, above the gondola into the valley or over the Streif also runs down.
