Winter hiking in Kitzbühel is a truly magical experience, with the snow crunching under your snowshoes, the ice crystals sparkling in the winter sun, the cold and pure air brushing against your cheeks and views stretching right out across the impressive Tyrolean mountain landscape. In this haven far away from the stresses and strains of day-to-day life, you can enjoy a wide array of hiking trails in the valley, as well as sunny panoramic trails on the mountain. You can even join Kitzbühel’s hiking guides on a tour to some of the region’s most stunning locations before warming up with delicious local delicacies at one of the many mountain huts.

With the lifts of Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel you can easily reach the starting points for breathtaking panoramic winter hikes.

Kitzbühel tourism offers guided winter and snowshoe hikes, as well as special hiking experiences at full moon or sunset with experienced hiking guides.

The weekly program offers you the opportunity with the Kitzbühel RedCard to participate free of charge in the daily winter hiking variants. From 02 December 2019 to 17 April 2020, the winter hiking program is available.

Are you an absolute beginner when it comes to snowshoeing? If so, come and give this popular sport a try and discover quiet and peaceful landscapes away from the pistes.

Meeting point: 1.30pm, Kitzbühel Tourist Information

Price: € 6 [plus lift pass & transfer where applicable]

Enjoy a truly unique hike high above Kitzbühel in the light of the full moon.

Price: € 35 per adult, € 17.50 per child incl. a sundowner Drink from , lift ride, snowshoe hire and a mountain hiking guide [discount/special price for anyone with a ski pass or season ticket]

Panoramic hikes on the Bichlalm

The Bichlalm is located at the heart of Kitzbühel’s Südberge mountains and is one of the best areas in the region for ski touring, freeriding and snowshoeing. You can get your panoramic hike off to an easy start by taking the nostalgic Bichlalm lift up the mountain.

 

Distance: 2.6km

Places to stop: The Bichlalm mountain hut is well worth a visit for its outstanding panoramic views and regional cuisine.

Trattalmmulde hiking route and the Hornköpfl reservoir

Enjoy breathtaking mountain views from below the peak of the Kitzbüheler Horn mountain.

 

Distance: 3.9km
