Iconic signature trail

Hahnenkamm Trail

Hahnenkamm Mountain Station → | 8.5 km | S1–S2 | Easy–Moderate

The trail where it all began. This flowing descent starts directly below the Hahnenkammbahn and combines alpine views with a long, varied ride back down to the valley. Accessible enough for advanced beginners, yet varied enough to thrill experienced riders too.
Here, rhythm and line choice are key. Roll through the turnss, carry speed from the trail’s natural flow and experience one of the region’s most iconic descents.

Highlights
– Long descent into the valley with varied terrain and true trail feeling
– Flowing berms, forest sections and optional features for natural progression

Where to stop for refreshments
– Mocking Wirtshaus – sun terrace with great views (directly at end of trail)
– La Monte - great coffee and food (end of trail behind Hahnenkamm Gondola)
– Legenden Café - pre ride snacks, or after bike trail stories (Hahnenkamm Gondola valley station)

A paradise for beginners

Sonnenrast Trails

Sonnenrast Chairlift or Fleckalmbahn → | 1.7 km | S1–S3 | Easy–Moderate

One lift. Several lines. The perfect introduction for new riders and families. The Sonnenrast Trails combine easy blue flow lines with optional red variants, making this area one of the most versatile in the network.

Take it easy or link up the more technical sections – it’s all about trying things out, repeating runs and riding together, even with different skill levels. Not every run has to be full throttle.

Highlights
– Choice between flowing blue lines and more technical red variants
– Northshore elements, and repeatable runs for fast progress

Where to stop
– Sonnenrast Restaurant for honest food and a break in the sun
– Jufen Beach to unwind and recharge after the ride

one of the best in Tyrol

Fleckalm Trail

Fleckalmbahn → | 7.7 km | S2-3 | Intermediate +

Challenging, but all the more rewarding for it. The Fleckalm Trail is one of “Tyrol’s 5 Great Trails” and is a real bucket-list ride.

Starting right at the gondola of the same name, riders can expect long forest sections, natural terrain and medium-sized drops. Everyone who stays active on their bike and chooses their line carefully will be rewarded. It’s less about shaped features – and more about what mountain biking was meant to be: free, natural and full of flow.

Highlights
– Long root sections with classic old-school MTB character
- Varying rocky terrain and hidden local lines

Where to stop
– Sonnenrast Restaurant - honest local food and great sun terrace (at start of trail)
- Gasthof Fleckalm - perfect for a mid trail break (half way down the trail)
– Hotel Klausen for a well-deserved rest at the end of the trail

Home of Local Legends

Gaisberg Trail

Gaisberg Chairlift → | 2.2 km | S2-3 | Intermediate +

For a real downhill experience and laps with friends. The Gaisberg Trail hosted the Austrian Downhill National Championships in 2014 and is a favourite with local riders.

The trail is designed for experienced riders, being flow to those who release the brakes a little earlier and trust the natural contours of the trail. Ideal for riders who enjoy jumps and small drops whilst linking high speed turns  – and it rarely ends with just one run.

Highlights
– Gentle start with tables and drops in the upper section
– Steeper root section in the middle and tight hairpin bends – pre-ride before freeride.

Where to stop
There are currently no places to stop for refreshments directly on the trail. In the centre of Kirchberg, there are several cafés and a bakery.

Lisi Osl Trail

Gaisberg → | 2.1 km | S2-S3 | Intermediate +

Loose ground. Big character. The Lisi Osl Trail packs more turns per kilometre than any other trail in the region. Its tighter layout rewards clean technique, precise line choice and active riding. Best suited to intermediate through to experienced riders.

Roots, tight corners and rocky sections demand attention, especially in wet conditions. Riders who read the terrain well are rewarded with a playful and technically engaging trail.

Highlights
– Narrow upper forest section with steep, technical berms
– Jumps in the middle and lower sections, including optional larger drops

Where to stop
No direct refreshment facilities on the trail. In Kirchberg in Tirol, you’ll find a range of cafés and bakeries nearby.

Downhill and uphill

Mocking Trails

Short training trails | Multiple routes | Beginners–advanced

Not every great ride starts with a gondola trip. The Mocking Trails were built for repetition, progress and riding technique that can be directly applied to longer trail days. Short, natural lines allow you to practise balance, cornering technique, braking and body position – without having to commit to a long descent straight away. There’s even an uphill trail included, which helps improve key skills at low speed.

Ride a section. Reset. Ride it better again. Ideal before venturing into the wider trail network – especially on an e-bike – or for riders who enjoy learning just as much as they enjoy riding.

Highlights
– Natural trail features to build riding technique and confidence
– Short, repeatable sections for practising without pressure

Where to stop
– Mocking Restaurant – sun terrace with great views (at the end of the trail)
– La Monte – great coffee and food (behind the Hahnenkamm Gondola valley station)
– Legenden Café – pre-ride snacks and post-ride stories (at the valley station of the Hahnenkammbahn)

MTB Family Area Streiteck

Located in the sheltered Streiteck basin at the valley station of the Sonnenrast chairlift, this training area is ideal for beginners and those looking to improve their trail riding skills. Lift-accessible blue lines offer an introduction to the flow of riding with banked turns and simple features. The red line includes small drops and jumps, while a black jump line provides advanced riders with space to practice technique and express their creativity.

How do you reach the Streiteck Family Area?
The Streiteck Family Area is accessible via a forest road from the Fleckalmbahn mountain station. Alternatively, the Sonnenrast Trail connects to the area—recommended for riders with basic trail experience. From the Hahnenkammbahn, allow about 20 minutes of riding time, including a short, steeper climb.

Safe. Fun. Effective.

Training zones in the valley

The Mocking Skill Area behind the Hahnenkamm gondola offers the perfect training spot without needing a lift ticket. Shaped turns and simple features give riders their first taste of trail riding, while four rideable kickers allow advanced riders to specifically work on their jumping technique.

Located right at the valley station of the Fleckalmbahn is the Fleckalm Skill Area, featuring wooden elements for balance, braking, and bike handling. The area is complemented by a pump track, an uphill section, and two training berms. Particularly popular with coaches and guides—the perfect place to start your day of biking on a relaxed note.
