The Streif Summer Experience brings the legendary Hahnenkamm downhill run to life for families—exciting, varied, and perfect for children ages 4 to 12. Along an easy-to-walk scenic trail, nine well designed stations await, recreating the highlights of the actual race course.
Whether balancing, climbing, sliding, or crossing small bridges—here, hiking becomes an adventure that motivates every child and delights the whole family. Special feature: The trail is fully push chair friendly.
The trail start is located right at the Hahnenkamm Gondola, making access easy. Along the way, there are three places to stop for refreshments and restrooms, allowing the tour to be shortened or adjusted at any time—ideal in case of changing weather or tired little legs.

Please note: Children should always be supervised at the stations.
Access is easy: parking is available at the Schwarzsee carpark, and the Forest Mile is quickly reachable on foot, bike or via public transportation. The Café Schwarzsee, the Italian restaurant Pipino’s, and the Steghaus are all nearby—perfect for a break before or after the course.
Thanks to its location on Schwarzsee, the Forest Trail is a great option when the weather forecast for the mountains isn’t so good, but conditions in the valley are still favorable. Plus, you can combine your visit with a dip in the Schwarzsee.

The Sintersbach Waterfall is one of the most impressive natural attractions in the region. The trail starts at the Schradlern parking lot—accessible via the NaturTaxi during peak season—is brought to life by a dragon-themed playground for children and four interactive stations featuring the legend of the dragon.
The trail leads along the stream through a narrow gorge, past a metal bridge with a view down into the depths and several spots where the clear water is accessible. After about an hour, you reach the 85-meter-high waterfall, one of the highest in Tyrol—powerful, pristine, and impressive.
Those who wish can continue the hike to the Jochberger Wildalm (approx. 20–30 minutes). The return route through the forest offers peaceful views of the valley. Ideal for families with children who love hiking as well as for nature and leisure hikers.

The Alpine Flower Garden on the Kitzbüheler Horn is one of the highest-altitude show gardens in Europe and delights visitors with an extraordinary variety of alpine plants from all over the world. From the summit, you can easily reach the garden entrance via a paved hiking trail or the original old "Hornweg" trail. Families will also enjoy the Kids Climbing Trail, which playfully leads to the same spot.

The KitzTrail Bike & Hike combines e-mountain biking with a summit experience in a particularly harmonious way. We’ll ride our e-bikes from Kitzbühel to the wild and romantic Aurach Highlands, heading to the Hochwildalm, where a regional snack awaits. Afterward, we’ll leave our bikes behind and hike up to the Gebra (Ranggen). After taking in the panoramic views, the route leads back to Aurach at a leisurely pace—culminating in a culinary treat at the Hallerwirt.
