Kitzbühel’s mountain lifts take you effortlessly into the alpine landscapes surrounding the town. From the Hahnenkamm gondola to the Kitzbüheler Horn cable car, each ride reveals a different perspective of the Alps.
Both lifts carry the “Best Austrian Summer Mountain Lifts” quality seal. In May and June, as well as September and October, one return journey per person per day is included with the KitzCard.

The Hahnenkamm Gondola
The Hahnenkammbahn is one of Austria’s most famous gondolas, linking Kitzbühel’s historic town centre directly with the legendary Hahnenkamm. In just eight minutes, the single-cable climbs around 800 metres in altitude, revealing impressive views of the town and surrounding mountains.
A special detail: each gondola is named after a winner of the legendary Hahnenkamm Race on the Streif, turning the journey into a tribute to Kitzbühel’s skiing history. In summer, the Hahnenkamm also offers a wide range of mountain experiences.

The Kitzbüheler Horn Lifts
The Kitzbüheler Horn lifts offer some of the most spectacular views over Kitzbühel. The ascent itself becomes part of the experience—gliding smoothly from the valley into the clear mountain air, with new perspectives revealed along the way.
In just a few minutes, you gain 1,200 m in elevation and reach an altitude of 2,000 m. At the top, a panorama awaits, stretching from the Wilder Kaiser to views over the “Gamsstadt” of Kitzbühel. Hiking trails, the Alpine Flower Garden and scenic spots make the Kitzbüheler Horn lifts an ideal starting point for active hours in nature.

The Bichlalm Lift
The traditional Bichlalm chairlift takes you to one of the most scenic Kneipp pools (cold water therapy pool) in the Kitzbühel area. You’ll glide quietly and comfortably uphill as views of the region’s vast landscape unfold before you.
At the top, a panorama of rolling grassy hills and striking peaks awaits. The crisp mountain air and sweeping views create space to slow down, breathe deeply, and leave the pace of everyday life behind. The Bichlalm chairlift is the perfect starting point for some of the most beautiful hikes in the Kitzbühel Südberge.

From the top stations, you can set off straight onto the trails—on foot, by mountain bike or e-bike. Along the way, mountain huts offer authentic regional dishes and a place to pause, often with a view that’s hard to leave.
Bike Lifts in Kitzbühel
With the Kitzbühel bike lifts, you can easily reach the highest, most scenic areas of the region—on a mountain bike or e-bike. Between Hahnenkamm and Pengelstein, a wide range of routes for all levels opens up, with sweeping views across the Kitzbühel Alps.
Whether you’re chasing flow on the 360 Flow Trails or heading out for a more relaxed e-bike ride, you can choose between purpose-built trails, quiet mountain roads and scenic forest paths. Along the way, mountain huts provide the perfect places to stop, refuel and take in the view.

Kitzbüheler Horn Summit Breakfast
True to the motto “First on the Mountain,” the lift network of KitzSki brings you to the Kitzbüheler Horn before sunrise. While the valley still rests, the first light of day begins to unfold above.
With an early morning ride on the Horn gondola, you ascend quietly into the dawn. As the sun rises behind the Loferer Steinberge, the moment is accompanied by the gentle sounds of local brass musicians.
A short, guided walk to the summit sets the tone for the day. A quiet moment of reflection follows, along with a regional “Tirol Milch” mountain breakfast at the Horngipfelhaus.

Yes. Cable cars make it easy for families to reach scenic viewpoints and gentle trails without long climbs. Plan short walks and regular breaks to keep things enjoyable. A great option is the Streif Summer Experience on the Hahnenkamm.
Bicycles may be transported on the Hahnenkammbahn, Fleckalmbahn, Sonnenrastbahn, and Gaisbergbahn. Note an additional fee is applied.
