293 | Fleckalm Trail
Legendary. Challenging. And all the more rewarding for it. The Fleckalm Trail is one of "Tyrol's 5 Great Trails" and a true bucket-list ride!
Starting right at the Fleckalm gondola, riders can expect long forest sections, natural terrain, and medium-sized drops. Riders who stay active on the bike and consciously choose their lines will be rewarded. It’s less about individual features here—and more about the authentic feel of mountain biking: free, natural, and full of flow.
Highlights: Long root sections with classic old-school MTB character; varied rocky terrain and hidden "local lines."
Description:
A singletrack trail—resembling a hiking path—running from the Fleckalm gondola top station via a forest road and through the woods to the Maierlbahn top station (not operating in summer). It continues past the Ochsalm and Hochalm huts until it joins the existing hiking trail towards Niedere Fleckalm. Shortly before that point, the route branches off the hiking trail, leading onto a forest road below the Fleckalm mountain inn; it then runs along the edge of the woods and across alpine pastures before winding through the forest down to the Fleckalm gondola base station.
The day starts sunny, but will be partly cloudy in the afternoon.
Rather cloudy in the morning, then sunny spells will develop gradually.
