Welcome to the organic mountain farm PLETZERN at 1140m in Kitzbühel on the Kitzbüheler Horn. Andrea and Peter took over the organic mountain farm "Pletzern" from Peter's parents in 2015. The farm has been run by the Astl family for five generations. It is located at 1140 metres above sea level above the rooftops of Kitzbühel on the sunny side of the Kitzbüheler Horn. Due to our full-time employment, we were looking for an alternative to dairy farming and came across alpacas. For the very sporty, on foot from the valley/Kitzbühel via the old Hornweg (Hagsteinweg21) towards the middle station The path leads steeply uphill past a building shell to a farmhouse. Here it goes left under the house through the pasture gate and then straight on for approx. 400 metres. Duration approx. 1 hour.
Take the Kitzbüheler Hornbahn cable car to the middle station (train ticket to be paid separately) then walk to the Adlerhütte inn, turn right downhill towards the valley until you reach the crossroads, turn right here and follow the path for approx. 700 metres.
