Museum Kitzbühel | Book admission in advance
The Museum Kitzbühel - Alfons Walde Collection provides a unique insight into the history and culture of the town and region of Kitzbühel. Selected exhibits, film and sound installations take you from Bronze Age mining around 1000 BC to the history of the town and winter sports with Toni Sailer and the legendary "Kitzbühel Ski Miracle Team" of the 1950s. The focus of the museum's permanent collection is on Alfons Walde. On the third floor and attic, the work of the Kitzbühel painter is presented comprehensively and in all its facets on 250 m² with 60 paintings and over 100 graphics, drawings, photographs and prints. Twice a year, the large special exhibition area is reorganized with different themes relating to the art, culture and society of the town and region of Kitzbühel.
