Take it easy: winter hiking in Kitzbühel
Winter Kitzbühel can be hiked comfortably and stress-free on around 35 paths and 185 kilometers. There is a lot to see at every turn, almost nothing to hear. Apart from the crunch of the snow and the expression of amazement.
The easiest way to experience Kitzbühel's winter wonderland up close? Just walk right through it. That may sound a bit uncompromising, but it is not. At most against the daily grind. Winter hiking is the easiest way to leave stress and excitement behind. And you don't need anything for that. Apart from good shoes, warm clothing and one of our 35 marked trails up to 2,000 m above sea level.
Enjoyment of nature for every pace
Winter hiking is a sport for everyone. A little stamina, the right equipment and an appetite for nature is all that is required for this. There is no hectic, hustle and bustle or noise here and the pace is determined by yourself. The only difficulty? Find the right route, because there is a large selection in and around Kitzbühel. Around the Hahnenkamm, on the Bichlalm or Bruggeralm, to Aurach or Jochberg, or would you prefer around the Schwarzsee? There is not only the ideal hike for every taste, but also for every requirement.
Only one thing is the same on all of our winter hiking trails: the unmistakable panorama. Whether romantic valleys, gentle heights or almost kitschy snow-covered forests - your constant companion is the step by step crunching snow and the glittering fairytale landscape around you. When the sun is shining over Kitzbühel, there is hardly anything nicer on a winter's day to experience nature up close.
When the sky burns in winter
On a winter hike in the Kitzbühel mountains, immerse yourself in an idyllic landscape, surrounded by incomparable tranquility that can not only be heard but also felt. And when the evening approaches and you are lucky enough to hike towards the sunset from the Kitzbüheler Horn, it is not only visible, but above all tangible: this magical moment of happiness that will not soon be forgotten. Countless shades of red shine on the horizon, the light effects change every minute and the emotional range of colors of this snow-covered landscape ranges from romantic to magical to mysterious at such moments. A fire evening after work.
