A short high-altitude hike around the snowy Hahnenkamm - see the unforgettable panoramic views! Check-out the impressive and infamous Mausefalle ski jump and visit the start house, which is located just a few meters from the Märchenwald magic carpet.
From the top station of the Bichlalm chairlift, the trail leads over the stunning ridge of Kitzbühel's southern mountains. Breathtaking views unfold in every direction, from the Loferer Steinberge to Resterhöhe, Hahnenkamm, and the Höhe Tauern National Park. On the return journey from the Stuckkogel summit, enjoy the vistas of the Kitzbüheler Horn, as well as views towards the Hohe Salve and Kirchberg.
A leisurely hike below the Shattberg around Malerndörfl just to the South of Kitzbühel, with it's old farms and a magnificent view of the Wilder Kaiser mountains. The route has a distance of 3.5km and climbs 70m in elevation.
Starting from Jochbergwald, this picturesque hike winds through a captivating winter landscape, predominantly away from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding ski slopes. Be mindful of crossing the ski pistes twice, especially near the Trattenbachalm, and keep an eye out for skiers.
The themed trail leads along the Hornweg in the direction of Griesenau, continuing along the Römerweg to the Hinterobernau Farmhouse Museum. From there it goes via the Achenpromenade back to the starting point.
Winter hiking in Kitzbühel is a breeze with 35 paths covering 185km. Everywhere you look, there's something to see, and the only sounds you'll hear are the crunch of snow underfoot and the occasional gasp of amazement.
To experience Kitzbühel's winter wonderland up close, simply take a stroll through our landscape and escape the daily grind for stress-free relaxation. We recommend wearing good shoes, warm clothing, and planning your route before heading out. Our 35 marked trails will take you on exciting journeys from 800m - 2,000m above sea level.

Winter hiking is an activity for everyone. There's little equipment necessary, and the pace is entirely up to you. The only challenge is choosing the right route. We've designed our touring portal to help you select a route that suits your needs. All routes have been graded blue (easy), red (medium), or black (hard) to make life even easier. Whether it's around the Hahnenkamm, in Aurach or Jochberg, or perhaps around the Schwarzsee, there's an ideal hike for every taste and requirement.
Yet, one thing remains constant on all our winter hiking trails: the breathtaking panorama. Whether through romantic valleys, gentle hills, or almost surreal snow-covered forests, you'll be accompanied by the rhythmic crunch of snow underfoot and the sparkling, fairy-tale landscape around you.

You just have to try it - As evening draws near, a trek towards the sunset from the Kitzbüheler Horn offers more than just a visual spectacle; it provides a moment of pure happiness, etched into memory. Countless shades of red adorn the horizon, as light dances across the snow-covered landscape, evoking emotions ranging from romantic to magical to mysterious.
