Anyone who knows Kitzbühel only as a holiday destination has yet to experience just how much moments of connection can shape generations: the Kitzbühel Regulars’ Club is celebrating half a century this year, filled with shared stories and deep bonds. Fifty years in which guests have become true friends – and a holiday has become a little piece of home.
50 years of Club Kitzbühel’s regulars – friendship in action
The Club Kitzbühel regulars’ club boasts over 10,000 members from more than 40 countries. Yet behind these figures lies far more than mere statistics – this is where the story begins of families who have been returning to Kitzbühel time and again for decades. Often, three generations travel together, and many come year after year: what began as a holiday has become a tradition, asenseofhome, and a special connection with the ‘Gamsstadt’ and its way of life. Children, grandchildren and parents share memories, grow up with the region and rediscover familiar places time and time again – a bond that links generations.
The emergence of a unique community
As early as 1976, the visionaries behind Kitzbühel’s tourism industry recognised something that is more relevant today than ever: places need people who tell stories and pass them on. This led to the creation of the world’s first international regular guests’ club of its kind – an association that not only welcomes its members but also gives them a unique sense of belonging.
A festival full of experiences
From 10 to 12 July 2026, Kitzbühel was abuzz with celebrations to mark its 50th anniversary. The weekend became a tribute to friendship, camaraderie and a zest for life. From the ceremonial unveiling of a pin of honour for regular visitors, created by the Kitzbühel-based metalworker Heinz Sohler, to the reunion at the newly renovated clubhouse at the Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee-Reith golf course – it was a celebration that built bridges between generations, languages and life journeys.
Unique in Austria, open to the world
Once you’ve been part of it, you take a piece of Kitzbühel with you – home, out into the world, to friends. The regulars are true ambassadors for the region, spreading their enthusiasm for nature, tradition and lifestyle far and wide. Many inspire others to find their own ‘Kitzbühel moment’ and are always happy to return themselves. For Kitzbühel, this community is a gift – because it proves that genuine connection knows no bounds and that warmth transcends generations.
