Christopher Hahn and Hendrick Burmeister Claim the Challenge Trophy in the Supercup Final
On 19 September 2026, padel players from Austria and abroad came together at Reither Wiese for the second edition of the Kitzbühel Padel Open. A total of 23 teams competed across three categories.
The highlight of the tournament was the Supercup, which saw the winners of the Intermediate category take on the winners of the Professional category. Christopher Hahn and Hendrick Burmeister prevailed in the Supercup to secure the title. For Hahn, it marked his second victory at the Kitzbühel Padel Open: in 2025, he won the tournament’s inaugural Supercup together with Bernhard Kresta.
Strong Demand for Padel Courts
Since the two padel courts at Reither Wiese opened in September 2025, the sport has become an established part of Kitzbühel’s sporting offer. The latest figures underline its growing popularity: since 11 March 2026, a total of 1,263 bookings accounting for 2,064 hours of court use have been recorded, despite weather-related interruptions due to snow.
Based on an average of four players per booking, this represents more than 8,000 padel enthusiasts taking to the courts.
