The route starts at the information office in Kössen and initially leads to the roundabout. Take the first turn, pass the church and turn left after the bend onto Mühlbergweg. The route winds through meadows and woodland towards the Taubenseehütte. On the asphalt road along the Talbach stream, the biker passes the Ruppen and Frohwies farms. Turn right at the next junction to the Dichtleralm. The forest road now runs mainly through alpine pastures. Shortly after the Ochsenalm, you have the option of descending via the Embachalm to Reit i. Winkl or Oberwössen. The route to the Hirzinger Hütte is via the Dichtleralm and a final hairpin bend.
