Kitzbühel and its holiday resorts Reith, Aurach and Jochberg

For decades, Kitzbühel has been one of the top international year-round destinations in the Alps. Embedded in the fascinating mountain world, the so-called Chamois Town attracts visitors with its nearby holiday resorts of Reith, Aurach and Jochberg.

In the midst of the surrounding mountains, the picturesque historic town centres, the strong tradition and pristine nature of the region give it a very special flair. A holiday in the gentle landscape of the grassy Kitzbühel mountains is an absolute highlight for all those looking for relaxation, sport lovers and foodies, in summer as well as in winter.

A particular advantage is the proximity of the holiday resorts to Kitzbühel and the good connections with the public bus network.

Arrival

The perfect location and accessibility, as well as the short distances in Kitzbühel distinguish the Gamsstadt. Thanks to three train stations, uncomplicated connections to the surrounding airports and a functioning network of public transport, the way to the heart of the Alps is always a short one.

365 day the alpine wy of life

The Gamsstadt has a particularly well-developed infrastructure as well as a wide range of active and entertainment offers that can be experienced all year round. More than 200 skiing days from mid-October to the beginning of May and 190 days of golf on four courses complete the offer of the year-round destination.

The "Stadl" is bursting with tradition, but at the quiet time, at the Kitzbühel Advent and especially at Easter, when time-honored customs are brought to life, Kitzbühel shows its most traditional side.

Winter in the Gamsstadt and sourroundding

The Kitzbühel region, internationally known for the legendary Streif, is located in the best ski area in the world(*). KitzSki offers 234 kilometers of slopes in every degree of difficulty, 57 lifts, 60 inns and huts in the ski area and up to 200 days of skiing pleasure a year. Summer in the region Kitzbühel

Kitzbühel and its vacation villages Reith, Jochberg and Aurach are located in the middle of the Kitzbühel mountains and are therefore ideal starting points to explore the Hahnenkamm, the Kitzbüheler Horn and the South Mountains. Holiday fun all year arround

The Kitzbühel Museum is home to an extensive collection by the internationally renowned artist Alfons Walde and provides interesting insights into the town's history, which dates back to the Bronze Age. During a visit to the Krampus Museum, a variety of hand-carved masks can be marveled at and admired. Exercise enthusiasts will find classic indoor activities such as climbing, tennis and ice skating, as well as a bowling and curling alley and Austria's only curling hall in the sports park. The cinema, casino and Aquarena swimming center provide variety at any time of year and in any weather.
