248 | Klausenberg - Eggenalm
The starting point for this extended, difficult tour is at the information office in Kössen. Drive to the roundabout, take the first turn-off and follow Hüttfeldstraße to the Blaik district. Cross the Großache, turn left and follow the road to the next bridge over the Großache. Drive through the district of Kaltenbach and then along the main road. Follow the signs until you reach the fork in the forest road on the left. The route now runs moderately uphill in parts through attractive forest terrain. As soon as you reach the first meadow after the forest, you have the option of turning off to the Klausenbergalm. Or the biker can tackle the next 6 km, which lead through partly flat to moderately ascending terrain in serpentine lines through the forest to the Kreuzangeralm. Heading north, the route then climbs steeply through alpine pastures for another 5 km to the Eggenalm or Straubingerhaus.
