This bike tour through the Bichlach area starts at the Schwarzsee lake. Cycling on the roads towards Kitzbühel we turn left opposite the Schwarzsee train station towards Steuerberg. The road climbs up to Gasthof Steuerberg, where we join a gravel path which decends steeply on the other side. After a couple of hundred metres in the forest we turn right towards Oberndorf. Going past the Hasenberg Weiher pond, we continue along the path until we reach a paved road, where we descend down the hill towards the quarry. Just before we reach the train tracks we turn left and head up the hill towards Rettenberg, Grutten. At the end of the long, steep ascent, we turn left on to a flat stretch at the next fork in the road. After following the road for about 1km, there is a sharp turn to the left on to a steep gravel track towards Rettenberg. Here the path passes an old farm and goes across a field into the trees, where the riding becomes more technical for a short stretch. Passing the farm at the bottom we follow the road to Reith, Münichau. By the Schloss Munichau castle we turn left onto the main road, and left again at the turn to the Schwarzsee, bringing us back to our starting point.
