Trattenbachalm
Our starting point is Jochberger Wald at the Waldwirt car park, which is available free of charge. We cross the main road and follow the hiking trail towards Trattenbachalm, which leads us up to the Trattenbachalm mostly via an alpine road. Halfway up the ascent, the various peaks of the Kleiner Rettenstein with its highest elevation of 2,217 m become visible. After that, we can already see our destination, the Trattenbachalm, from afar. The rustic hut allows us to unwind, and you simply cannot miss out on typical local dishes such as „Tiroler Gröstl“, „Kasspatzl“ or „Pressknödel“. Refreshed and impressed by the magnificent mountain landscape, we begin our return journey along the same path we took on the way up.
