Music and Traditional Craftsmanship
Atmospheric music
Festive Advent tunes and traditional melodies create a contemplative atmosphere at the Kitzbühel Advent Market. Every day from 6 pm to 7 pm, live music fills the historic town centre and the town park with festive sounds, inviting visitors to savour the Advent season in Kitzbühel.
Highlight: The Wilten Boys’ Choir on the first Sunday of Advent (29 November 2026) at 3.00 pm and 4.30 pm
Traditional craftsmanship
During Advent, Kitzbühel reveals its romantic and atmospheric side. Kitzbühel Advent thrives on lovingly designed stalls offering Christmas tree decorations, wool crafts and hand-carved items.
Local and regional craftspeople present their masterpieces here year after year. Visitors can watch selected craftspeople at work – for example, at the Hauser woodturning workshop, where individual pieces are created with great precision, or at Vitus Rieder’s, who felts handmade slippers with great experience and care.
Christmas programme for children
Even the youngest visitors are in for a treat. A lovingly designed children’s programme invites them to join in, marvel and discover. Fairy-tale readings, a historic carousel and creative craft activities ensure a varied Advent programme in Kitzbühel town centre and the town park. At the Christkindl Post Office, children can put their wishes down on paper and become part of a very special Advent tradition.
A special highlight awaits families on 6 December 2026. The traditional St Nicholas procession in the town park combines tradition and anticipation, bringing a sparkle to children’s eyes.
