A PIECE OF HISTORY at Berghaus Tirol high above Kitzbühel! At 1750 metres above sea level, picturesquely nestled between the Hahnenkamm and Ehrenbachhöhe, Alois and his team will provide you with hearty delicacies from Tyrol. Even if you might not think so at first glance, you are on historic ground here.
The house is Alfons Wald's last completed project on the Hahnenkamm. It was built in 1936 for his friend Eugenio Lopez. Alfons Walde (1891-1958), legendary painter and architect, is one of Kitzbühel's greatest sons. He also designed the iconic mountain station of the Kitzbühel Hahnenkamm cable car (1926/27) and the neighbouring house, the Berghaus Walde (1929).
