Tucked away in the stunning Kitzbühel Alps, Jochberg is an official Austrian Hiking Village and a dream destination for hikers and nature lovers. This peaceful village blends unspoiled landscapes with rich farming traditions, offering countless trails that showcase the region’s natural beauty. In Jochberg, there is more than meets the eye, its a place where hidden views, cultural stories, and genuine hospitality come together.
As official Austrian Hiking Villages, Aurach and Jochberg are deeply rooted in mountain tradition—and in making hiking experiences both memorable and mindful. The new NaturTaxi (Nature Taxi), launched in cooperation with local hotels, is one more way to help guests explore the region sustainably.
For just €2 per ride, guests with a valid guest card can travel to five carefully chosen hiking start points in Aurach and Jochberg—without needing their own car. There’s no stress over parking or having to return to the same place. Simply get in, head out, and enjoy the trail ahead.
The NaturTaxi departs once each morning from eight pick-up points and returns in the afternoon, making even one-way routes and remote paths easy to experience.
It’s a small idea with a big impact—for anyone who values simplicity, comfort, and the chance to act sustainably by leaving the car at the hotel.
TimetableThe NaturTaxi picks up guests each morning from eight designated stops and takes them to five selected starting points for walks in Aurach and Jochberg. In the afternoon, guests can be collected from any of the same eight stops. Pick-up and return points can be chosen freely to suit each guest’s plans.
