The Kitzbühel holiday region is situated in Tyrol, Austria, and comprises the town of Kitzbühel as well as Reith bei Kitzbühel, Aurach bei Kitzbühel and Jochberg. In the town itself, you’ll find the historic old town with its shops, restaurants and cafés. Even without skis, there’s plenty to do on your winter holiday: winter walks, tobogganing, ice skating, strolls around Schwarzsee, a visit to the Kitzbühel Museum or a leisurely wander through the historic old town. Restaurants, cafés and day-spa treatments round off the programme. 

Kitzbühel is an excellent winter holiday destination for families in Tyrol. For those first attempts on skis, there are ski schools and practice slopes, for example in Reith bei Kitzbühel. Away from the slopes, you can visit the Aurach Wildlife Park, go for short winter walks or try out the toboggan runs. Choose activities suited to your children’s age and ability.
