Christmas Bigband Concert

The anticipation for the musical evening begins at 7:30 p.m. with the student big band of the St. Johann in Tirol State Music School under the direction of Mario Millinger. The young musicians will delight the audience with swing, jazz and the first sounds of Christmas, setting the perfect mood for the main concert with their fresh energy.
From 8 p.m., Big Band 2000 from Zell am See will take over with their popular Christmas programme. The twenty-piece orchestra will transport the audience back to the golden era of big bands with swing, jazz and classics in the style of Count Basie, Glenn Miller and Frank Sinatra.
A highlight is the performance by singer Olga Levtcheva, whose expressive voice is guaranteed to give you goosebumps. Complemented by selected soloists, Big Band 2000 offers a unique concert experience that has become a firm fixture in the musical calendar.
