Contents of this Page
1 | Accessibility Statement
This website does not comply with the AA conformance level of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1" or the applicable harmonized European Standard EN 301 549 V2.1.2 (2018-08). The incompatibilities and exceptions are listed below.
2 | Non-Accessible Content a) Incompatibility with Accessibility Regulations
Some non-decorative images, buttons, links, and logos lack alternative text, making this information inaccessible to screen reader users. This does not meet the WCAG success criteria 1.1.1 (Non-text Content) and 2.4.4 (Link Purpose). There are no alternatives for all videos in the content, making this information inaccessible to screen reader users. This does not meet the WCAG success criteria 1.2.1 (Pure Audio and Video Content), 1.2.3, and 1.2.5 (Audio Description or Media Alternative). Videos on the homepage cannot be paused, stopped, or hidden by the user (2.2.2 Pause, Stop, Hide and 2.3.1 Three Flashes or Below Threshold). Any content that does not meet the success criterion 2.3.1 can impair a user's ability to use the entire page, see WCAG compliance conditions under item 5: Non-Interference.
Forms: Error messages are missing, and form elements are neither labeled nor described (1.3.1 Info and Relationships and 2.5.3 Label in Name, or 1.3.5 Identify Input Purpose).
The dropdown menu from the main navigation is cut off on some screen sizes (1.3.4 Orientation) and cannot be closed without moving the mouse out of the area (1.4.13 Content on Hover or Focus).
The main navigation cannot be opened with the keyboard. There is hardly any visible focus on the page (2.1.1 Keyboard and 2.4.7 Focus Visible).
No skip links and no links to bypass blocks are used (2.4.1 Bypass Blocks).
Some elements do not have sufficient color contrast (1.4.3 Contrast and 1.4.11 Non-Text Contrast).
Zooming and scaling are disabled (1.4.4 Resize Text).
The search has some errors. The search field in the header changes only in color, but no textual information is displayed that this field needs to be filled. Therefore, screen reader users are not sufficiently informed (3.2.2 On Input and 4.1.3 Status Messages) or (3.3.1 Error Identification and 3.3.3 Error Suggestion).
The website is not compatible with current assistive technologies such as screen readers and has errors in programming (4.1.1 Parsing and 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value).
b) Disproportionate Burden
The website currently has programming errors and is not compatible with current assistive technologies such as screen readers. As of the current programming status, the integration of required audio descriptions and subtitles in videos is not allowed. The listed incompatibilities with accessibility regulations are expected to be resolved by 01.03.2021 as part of our optimization work.
c) Contents Outside the Scope of Applicable Legislation
3 | Creation of This Accessibility Statement
This statement was created on September 23, 2020.
The evaluation of the website's compliance with the Web Accessibility Act for implementing the requirements of EU Directive 2016/2102 was conducted in the form of an external test according to WCAG 2.1 at the AA conformance level in September 2020. The homepage in German, a content page in English, the search function, the search for accommodation, and the search result were reviewed.
Individual page contents are regularly checked by the page responsible upon the publication of new content as well as during the quarterly content control.
