About Kitzbühel Tourism

There are currently 34 tourism associations in Tyrol. These are corporations under public law, wich are established by decree of the provincial government. 

The tasks of a tourism association include, in particular, strategic tourism planning for the association´s area, tourism marketing, the infrastructural attractiveness of the respective region and the support of members in the creation of a market-oriented offer, guest services and event management. For this purpose and for the support of guests and members, an office is set up in each tourism association. 

The organs of a tourism association are the general assembly, the supervisory board, the executive board and the chairman. In addition, each tourism association has a managing director, who is responsible for the management of the office and the implementation of tourism marketing measures, among other things. Members of a tourism association are all entrepreneurs who have their registered office or a place of business in the association area and who directly or indirectly derive an economic benefit from tourism in Tyrol.

The tourism associations are subject to the supervision of the provincial government.
