Vacation is about experiencing unique moments and leaving everyday life behind. In Kitzbühel, there are 365 days a year to make every day special and create unforgettable memories. Whether you're up for a sporting adventure or want to recharge your batteries at our idyllic power spots, everyone will find their special Kitzbühel experience amidst the Tyrolean mountains. Look forward to unique experiences in the most legendary sports town in the Alps!
There is a lot to offer in the neighboring villages of Reith, Aurach or Jochberg - the Aurach wildlife park and a visit to the traditional farm shops are only a stone's throw away from Kitzbühel.
But there is also a lot to discover in the surrounding regions, be it a visit to a schnapps distillery or a city trip, e.g. to the fortress town of Kufstein or to our state capital Innsbruck. There is all sorts of things to find for each of our guests.
Early morning exercise helps to get the circulation going and wakes up the body. Those who complete their morning training session at Schwarzsee automatically get the good mood along with it. When the first rays of sunlight emerge from behind the Kitzbüheler Horn, the nature reserve is still wonderfully quiet. Due to the fresh temperatures, the morning fog still wafts over the warmest moor lake in the Alps in the morning and immerses the scenery in a mystical atmosphere.
A dreamlike circular path of about two and a half kilometers leads once around the lake and is suitable for a morning walk as well as for a sporty jogging round. For those who want to move a bit more, there is a beautiful forestry trail on the eastern shore. A dip in the cool water rounds off the perfect morning routine.
Our guests have it good: With the guest card from Kitzbühel Tourism, everyone can take part in our guided hikes free of charge from Monday to Friday. With us, you don't have to achieve top athletic performance to experience an unforgettable day in the mountains. Our mountain hiking guides will bring you closer to the dazzling world of the Tyrolean Alps - at every level of difficulty.
In summer, the hikes take you along the most magnificent panoramic paths over the Kitzbühel grassy mountains, in winter the hiking guides accompany our guests with and without snowshoes through snow-covered landscapes.
The Alpine Flower Garden at the Kitzbüheler Horn is a real natural jewel with over 400 flower varieties - not only botanists will go into raptures! The variety of high mountain plants is a truly impressive sight and in combination with the breathtaking view from the Kitzbüheler Horn a guarantee for an unforgettable vacation moment. Colorful plants - both native and from other European mountain regions and even the Himalayas - transform the garden into a colorful sea of colors.
The way to the top is either on foot up the Kitzbüheler Horn on asphalt roads and alpine paths, or by taking the Horngipfelbahn cable car with a subsequent walk downhill to the Alpine Flower Garden. For children, the Kids Climbing Trail including suspension bridge is a real adventure.
What better way to start a Saturday than with a leisurely stroll through town? Here in Kitzbühel, this slow-morning ritual is taken to the next level: Every Saturday from 8.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m., local merchants gather in the Hintertstadt for the Genussmarkt, offering high-quality products from the region. From fruit and vegetables to cheese and sausage to traditional crafts, no wish is left unfulfilled here. And after the week's shopping, there's always time for an aperitivo with friends in the numerous coffee houses and guest gardens in the historic town center. A piece of Kitzbühel's joie de vivre - enjoy week after week.
Simply close your eyes, explore the surroundings with an alert mind and immerse yourself in the forest with all your senses. Forest bathing is considered a natural healing method in Japan and is the ideal way to recharge one's energy reserves. Almost half of Kitzbühel is covered with forests - from spruces to pines and firs, there are numerous native trees in the immediate vicinity. The magical atmosphere, the strong power of the old trees, the gentle breeze through the branches and the subdued light invigorate and decelerate the mind at the same time.
A long walk through Kitzbühel's forests works wonders against stress. Let the balanced tranquility and sincere unagitatedness of nature take hold of you, and indulge in the luxury of being out of reach while bathing. A vacation experience cannot be more relaxing.
The Streif belongs to Kitzbühel like the Eiffel Tower to Paris. Whether in winter or in summer - the true Kitzbühel experience includes a visit to the legendary race track in any case. In the winter in the spotlight by the world-famous Hahnenkamm race, the downhill does not need to hide in the summer. The summer experience Streif offers a special kind of World Cup feeling, especially for families, and makes the day a very special vacation.
An eventful course along the panorama path at the Hahnenkamm with nine active stations conveys the fascination of the Streif up close to young fans. Based on the key sections of the original race course, the stations require skill, endurance and balance.
After an extensive shopping spree through Kitzbühel's numerous boutiques and traditional craft stores, everyone deserves a break. Amid the backdrop of the historic city center, cool refreshing drinks taste twice as good. And what could make a balmy summer evening even better than nice company and tasty drinks? When the summer heat has the city firmly in its grip, a hike to the nearby Sintersbacher waterfall promises refreshment. Along the Sintersbacher Graben, the water unleashes its full force and the energy released is literally palpable. The waterfall not far from Jochberg is a true place of power - especially during the snowmelt in spring it becomes an impressive natural spectacle. A special highlight on this hike is the stop at the Wildalm, a rustic old hut where the cowshed borders directly on the parlor.
For those who prefer to approach this natural spectacle in a sporting way, the trail along the hiking route is made for you. An incomparable experience for every passionate runner.

From May to October you can create an unforgettable experience out of the time spent together with friends, family and partner. The fuzzy ones, as the alpacas are also called, stand in stark contrast to the credo "Higher, Faster, Further", because without patience, calmness and trust you will not reach your goal here.

We lay the world at your feet on a different kind of high-altitude flight. Enjoy the spectacular view over the world-famous Streif race track and the Kitzbühel Alps while tandem paragliding. It's one of those moments in life when the clocks stop and you don't know in retrospect how long they really lasted. One of those moments is a tandem paragliding flight. Float weightlessly above the rooftops of the Gamsstadt and land together with the state-trained tandem pilots skillfully and safely back with both feet at the foot of the Hahnenkamm.
You can book a tandem flight all year round at element3, among others.
Although the town has become known worldwide as a hotspot for the rich and beautiful and as the venue for the spectacular Hahnenkamm race, ultimately this is only a comparatively short period in the town's 750-year history. Kitzbühel was and is a lively, diverse, exciting, ever-changing place - and some of these facets can be admired in the Kitzbühel Museum. A very special insider tip is the museum's roof terrace: from up there you have a fantastic view over the roofs of the town. The newly opened KC750 Kultur Café Kitzbühel is not only an excellent place to go for drinks & snacks after a visit to the museum - small concerts, readings and poetry slams also take place here.
Adults pay EUR 7.50 admission, groups EUR 5.50, and children and teens under 18 are free.

By the way: the Seidlalm also participates in the "Frühstück am Berg" campaign (Breakfast on the Mountain). The vouchers are available at Kitzbühel Tourism.
The Schleierwasserfall (Schleier Waterfall) is one of the many places of power here with us in Kitzbühel. A quick round in the evening or early in the morning with the first rays of sunshine - the short hike of about one hour is actually always worth it. Wonderfully refreshing in summer and impressive when frozen in winter, the Schleierwasserfall is a place that is full of energy.
A snack and a cool drink have room in every backpack! And what place would be better for a cozy picnic than the Schwarzsee? Of course, we respect nature and leave the water conservation area as we found it. If you prefer to stop in, you can also treat yourself to refreshments and snacks at Café Luca or the Steghaus
A ride on the Hahnenkamm cable car is always an experience in itself anyway. The ride becomes an unforgettable experience when you take the very first gondola up to the Hahnenkamm and then stroll over to the Hahnenkammstüberl to have a fried egg in the pan for breakfast. By the way: the Hahnenkammstüberl also participates in the "Frühstück am Berg" campaign (Breakfast on the Mountain). The vouchers are available at Kitzbühel Tourism.
