Classic in the Alps

Opera star Elina Garanča enchants Kitzbühel. A tribute to dance: in 2025 we celebrate 200 years of Johann Strauss II - the king of the waltz. Conductor Karel Mark Chichon presents a colourful programme ranging from French waltzes and South American rhythms to Strauss' famous polkas. Highlight: Elīna Garanča interprets the Csárdás from ‘Die Fledermaus’ for the first time in a specially arranged version. An evening full of dance, music and joie de vivre! The Latvian mezzo-soprano has been performing alongside her husband and conductor Karel Mark Chichon against the backdrop of the picturesque landscape in Kitzbühel since 2013. The atmospheric open-air gala with cultural enjoyment at the highest level enchants ears and eyes alike.
