Event
Kitzbühel:
From 6 p.m., children can discover the history of Kitzbühel and the works of Alfons Wald in a playful way. The popular cellar tour through the historic vaults of the old town will also take place again in 2025. Those interested in photography can look forward to a short workshop with local photographers and guided tours of the special exhibition ‘Handwerk Fotografie’ (Craft Photography), which offers exciting insights into the history and craft of photography in Kitzbühel.
Jochberg:
The Jochberg Mining and Local History Museum was founded on the basis of the long mining tradition. Finds prove that mining has been taking place in Jochberg since prehistoric times. Supported by a Leader project, the idea arose a few years ago to network the mining communities in the district of Kitzbühel, and thus the ‘Ore Line’ was created. It runs from Jochberg to Aurach, Kitzbühel, Oberndorf, St. Johann, Fieberbrunn, Hochfilzen and Leogang. A presentation of all the mining communities with their museums and archaeological sites along this ore line can be seen in the special exhibition.
