Following in the footsteps of the great Baroque composer from Kitzbühel, interested parties walk through the birthplace of Benedikt Anton Aufschnaiter, who was born here on February 21, 1665. The musicologist Cornelia Erber shares insights about how Aufschnaiter's career as court and cathedral conductor for three prince-bishops in Passau developed, what the living conditions of the Aufschnaiter family in the late 17th century were like, and which locations can still be associated with the grand master of South German-Austrian Baroque music during a tour of Kitzbühel's city center. The tour is free, and the meeting point is in front of the Kitzbühel Tourism office.
