October 6th, 2022 / Since Saturday, October 1st, 2022, enthusiastic cyclists who want to face the Challenge Kitzbühel Cycle Marathon can register. With 216 kilometers and 4,600 meters in altitude, the Kitzbüheler Cycle Marathon is a challenge with a "grande finale" that has it all: the Kitzbüheler Horn! Innovations at the 3rd edition of the Kitzbüheler Cycle Marathon The Kitzbühel Cycle Marathon will take place again in 2023. But beware: There are some innovations in the 3rd edition of the sporting event. From next year, the date of the event will be swapped with the Ötztal Cycle Marathon, so that the Kitzbühel Cycle Marathon will take place in August. On August 27th, 2023, the time has come again and the bike marathon starts in the Kitzbüheler Vorderstadt. Compared to the two previous events, there will also be an innovation in the finish. The route will remain the same in 2023, but there will be a second destination.
Thus, the participants have the choice between the well-known finish on the Kitzbüheler Horn and the new finish in the Kitzbüheler Vorderstadt, whereby the distance at the new destination is reduced to 209 kilometers. Both targets will be honored in the new target area in the Vorderstadt. In 2023, the location of the event area will also be closer to the center of the Gamsstadt and thus also closer to the start area of the Kitzbühel Cycle Marathon. The pasta party, the distribution of starting numbers, the drivers' briefing and also the expo will take place in the city park and on the premises of the Kitzbühel elementary school. Cycling enthusiasts can register for the Kitzbühel Cycle Marathon 2023 until August 21, 2023.
