13.06.2022 / The next sports event of the Kitzbühel Triathlon 2022 will take place on the June weekend around Corpus Christi. The program promises a lot. There is a sporting challenge for everyone - from professionals to amateur athletes and children.
Kitzbühel is ready for the European Cup of the elite
Hundreds of (tri-)athletes from all over Europe will unite at the Schwarzsee near Kitzbühel from June 17th to June 19th, 2022: the Kitzbühel Triathlon 2022 is coming up. After the ETU European Championships were held last year, an Elite European Cup on the short distance will follow this year.
The program promises a lot. While the European Cup semifinals of the elite will take place on Friday, June 17th, 2022, the finals will be held on Saturday, June 18th, 2022. In addition to the European Cup, other exciting competitions are waiting to be celebrated. In addition, a sprint and relay competition over the sprint distance for age group athletes will be held on Saturday. At the Sprint Triathlon, the participants range from beginners and returning athletes to ambitious amateurs. Everyone can try their hand at a real competition in World Cup format. The challenge is to swim 750 meters and complete an 18-kilometer bike course and a 5-kilometer run.
The event will culminate in the Kitz Tri Games on Sunday, June 19th, 2022. They form one of the largest children's and youth triathlons and count towards the ÖTRV Super Sprint Junior Cup. With over 300 young participants from more than ten nations, their international significance is reflected.
Spectators are welcome
The area around the race center at Schwarzsee not only offers ideal conditions as a venue, but spectators can also enjoy a good view when the athletes give their best.
