Kitzbühel starts sporty into spring

13.04.2022 / After an exceptional skiing season on the mountain, Kitzbühel is making a seamless transition into spring. As early as Easter week, golf enthusiasts can tee off again and perfect their swing on the driving range.

The Kitzbühel region, with a total of four award-winning golf courses, two of which are located in the town center, is also known as the golf paradise in the heart of the Alps. Since each course is unique in its own way, it is worth playing all four Kitzbühel courses at least once this season. The golf course Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee-Reith, which is often the venue of top-class international tournaments, not only attracts with its 18 holes to a game, but also by the unique panorama and the long tradition in the middle of the Tyrolean Alps. Nestled between the Wilder Kaiser and the Hohe Tauern mountains, the 18-hole championship course Eichenheim, which is characterized by dense deciduous forests and long pars, also offers breathtaking views of the Kitzbühel mountains. In the immediate vicinity of the town is the 9-hole Golfclub Kitzbühel, which will present golfers with special water hazards with the island green of hole 8 and hole 9 embedded in the castle park, while in the finish area of the legendary Streif downhill run, the 9-hole Red Bull Golf course at Rasmushof will entice you with its hilly terrain. The fairways are selectively laid out, the 9 holes sporty enough to challenge handicappers and also provide an ideal course for beginners. The impressive view of Kitzbühel's city center rounds it all off.

Golf Course Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee-Reith

The entire team of Kitzbühel Tourism again supported golf course manager Guido Hinterseer and his team in the annual spring cleaning to get the course in perfect condition for members and guests. Thus, the first 9 holes will be opened as early as Good Friday, April 15th, 2022 and all 18 holes with Saturday, April 23th, 2022.

To kick off the upcoming golf season, the driving range as well as the chipping area and putting green have been playable since Tuesday, April 12th, 2022. The new, high-quality tee mats of the driving range allow from now on a training as on natural grass and sprains of the wrists or elbows are thus a thing of the past. Also the four-legged friends of the Golfer are with this season at the golf course Kitzbühel Schwarzsee Reith cordially welcome. Led at the leash these can accompany immediately their master and mistress with the play, against a dog fee of EUR 9,- and under observance of the dog excrement admission obligation.

If you want to perfect your game or are interested in golf for the first time, the Kitzgolf Academy headed by Max Glattenbacher will be happy to help you. Since the right equipment also plays a major role in golf, individual fitting appointments can already be made with Harry Zott, head of HZ Fitting.
