The Kitzbühel golf season has started

Alpine golfing as early as March? The Kitzbühel golf courses take advantage of the early start to spring and start the golf season earlier than ever before.

Skiing and golfing in one day? Probably the most attractive time in Kitzbühel for sports enthusiasts: while the conditions on the mountain are still perfect for skiing, the perfect swing has been practiced on the Kitzbühel golf courses since the end of March. For the Kitzbühel spring triathlon, a jump into the Schwarzsee is also planned.

To mark the end of this year's ski season and the official opening of the Kitzbühel golf season, the unique Masters of the Swing competition format took place last weekend as part of the Kitzbühel Spring Games series of events, organized by element3. After the giant slalom in the morning on the Jufenhang and 9 holes on the Kitzbühel-Kaps golf course in Texas Scramble mode, the overall winning team was crowned.

Highest golf density in the Alps

The Kitzbühel region with a total of four golf courses and 54 varied holes on site, two of them in the town center, and 12 more in the immediate vicinity is also known as the golf paradise in the heart of the Alps. As each course is unique and different in its own way, it is well worth playing all four Kitzbühel courses at least once this season. The 18-hole Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee-Reith golf course is characterized by an impressive panorama between the Hahnenkamm, Kitzbüheler Horn and the Wilder Kaiser. Dense deciduous forests and long pars characterize the generously laid out 18-hole championship course Eichenheim. The 9-hole Red Bull Golf course at Rasmushof is located in the finish area of the legendary Streif downhill run and the 9-hole Kitzbühel-Kaps golf course is just 5 par 4s from the church tower in the middle of parkland with a view of Kaps Castle.

The Kitzbühel-Kaps golf course and the Eichenheim golf course opened to guests at the end of March. Since last weekend, all 18 holes of the Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee-Reith golf course have also been playable. The Red Bull Golf at Rasmushof opens at the end of April and the driving range is already in operation.

Kitzbühel Tourism Managing Director Dr. Viktoria Veider-Walser is looking forward to the upcoming golf season: "The product density of golf in Kitzbühel is unique and is a key differentiating factor in summer. This year, too, we will increasingly position our four golf courses, the Kitzbühel golf hotels and the extensive initiatives in our communications.  As every year, one highlight will be Golf the Streif, where golf enthusiasts will tee off from the starting house on the Hahnenkamm on June 27."
