The registration for the 13th Vertical Up and the revived Vertical Visions is now open this week.
"Back to the Start" is the motto for Vertical Visions. The eight-time Red Bull X-Alps champion, Chrigel Maurer, will present a multimedia show on February 23, 2024, at 07.30 pm in K3 KitzKongress. He will describe his breathtaking journey, in which he covered a staggering 1.223 kilometers and crossed 15 checkpoints over the Alps, solely by paragliding or on foot, starting in Kitzbühel and circumnavigating Mont Blanc in just 6 days and 6 hours, with the finish line in Zell am See.
The 13th Vertical Up will take place on February 24, 2024. The organizer expects up to 1.000 athletes to tackle the Streif uphill at 06.30 pm. In this race, athletes start at the finish line of the legendary Hahnenkamm races and finish at the starting point. As in previous years, sports enthusiasts can choose whether to take on the original racecourse (Speed Class) or the Family Streif (Backpack Class). Unique images are created as athletes ascend with their headlamps, forming a chain of lights. They are free to choose their equipment, as long as it is done under their own power. Hobby and professional athletes from various sports compete side by side, and Chrigel Maurer will once again be part of the race in 2024.
